Providing your grandpa was a 1950s NASCAR driver (not that mine was). I'm gonna make a list here. Bear with me, it's worth it.
(1 - this thread is in no way a complete rant about how awesome one of my favorite cars is.
3 - yes, I know, performance is drastically altered with a different set of tires and weather conditions. QUIET YOU!
2 - there are some versions (with different engines) of the cars listed with shorter 0-60 times, but I neglected them: all specs are from !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . The point is here is that some versions are capable of these lower times)
1983 Lamborghini Jalpa: o-60 in 7.2 seconds.
2008 Dodge Avenger R/T: 0-60 in 7.2 seconds.
2002 Cadillac CTS: 0-60 in 7.1 seconds.
2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe SE: 0-60 in 8.0 seconds.
2000 Jaguar S-Type 3.0L: 0-60 in 8.6 seconds.
1974 De Tomaso Pantera L: 0-60 in 7.5 seconds.
1981 Ferrari 308 GTSi: 060 in 7.8 seconds.
1966 Ferrari 275 GTS: 0-60 in 7.1 seconds.
Finally... this, probably the powerful production cars of its day and a placeholder in a line of Chrysler luxomusclebarges.
1960 Chrysler 300F: 0-60 in 7.0 seconds.
You could amass the cars listed (with proper specs, granted), send them back in time to 1960, buy a 100% showroom-stock '60 Chrysler 300F and lay waste to them all (in addition to looking miles better).
Bless you, homologation.

I know I was pulling your leg. Are those really from a 300? They only built 1,217 in 1960.

Yeah they are, they were put in though in 1960, the guy who built the car just bought new ones in the parts department. The headlights are 57 300, they were installed in 58.

I have to say that's a cool-looking custom with a pretty nice history behind it.
